About the Durham Trans Campaign

The Durham Trans Campaign is an autonomous campaign within the Durham LGBT+ Association, which exists to provide welfare services, campaigns, and socials to anyone who identifies as being under the Trans umbrella, including but not limited to:

  • those who self-define as trans women, trans men, genderqueer, genderfluid, genderflux, intergender, agender, non-binary;
  • those who are uncertain of, or questioning their gender identity;
  • any other individual who is not cisgender.

The Durham Trans Campaign also welcomes and encourages the involvement of allies.

We are a newly formed organisation, which was started on the 19th June 2017. Due to this, we are keen to get as many people involved as possible, to help shape the future of our campaign. If you wish to get involved, have any suggestions, or just want more information, feel free to email us at trans@durhamlgbta.org.uk.

If you wish to contact our president directly and confidentially, you can email trans.president@durhamlgbta.org.uk.

We also have a welfare officer, who you can contact confidentially at trans.welfare@durhamlgbta.org.uk.

Additionally, we aim to run several campaigns this year, so if you are interested in getting involved with campaigns, feel free to email our campaigns officer at trans.campaigns@durhamlgbta.org.uk.
